Newgensales for Google Meet
Last updated: October 8, 2026
With Google Meet connected, the calls you book in Newgensales get a Google Meet link made for the call, on your own Google account, and the Newgensales notetaker can join your lead calls to record, transcribe and coach. The link is an open one: your customer and the notetaker join without knocking.
Connecting
- Sign in to Newgensales and go to Account > Profile.
- In the Meeting Platform card, click the Google Meet tile. If another platform is connected, Newgensales asks whether to switch; confirming disconnects the old one.
- Google asks you to sign in and tick the permission listed below. Tick it and click Continue.
- You come back to your Profile. The Google Meet tile is marked as your platform and a row below it shows Google Meet connected with your Google email. New lead calls you book now use Google Meet.
One connection per person. A teammate who also wants Meet links connects their own Google account on their own Profile.
Using it
- Booking. Open a lead and click Book a meeting, or use New Booking on the Calendar page. When you book, Newgensales makes the Meet link on your account and puts it on the calendar invite.
- Joining. The link is open, so nobody waits in a lobby. If your Google Calendar is connected but Google Meet is not, bookings use the calendar's own Meet link instead, and outsiders — including the notetaker — have to knock.
- The notetaker. On lead calls, the Newgensales notetaker joins as a named participant, records the call and transcribes it. After the call the summary, next steps and deal details are on the lead.
- Cancelling. Cancelling a booking in Newgensales removes the calendar event. A Meet link on its own does nothing once nobody opens it.
- Recording consent. Tell participants the call is recorded where the law requires it. The notetaker appears as a named participant in the meeting.
Permissions it asks for
- Create meeting links on your account (
meetings.space.created): to make the link for a call you book. Newgensales cannot see or change your other meetings. - Your email address: to show which Google account is connected.
Removing it
- In Newgensales, go to Account > Profile, find the Google Meet connected row under the Meeting Platform tiles, and click Disconnect. The stored Google tokens are deleted.
- You can also remove it on Google: myaccount.google.com > Security > Your connections to third-party apps & services, open Newgensales and choose Delete all connections.
Links already on bookings keep working. New bookings use your calendar's own meeting link, or another platform you pick, until you connect Google Meet again.
Troubleshooting
- Google says the app is unverified. Our verification with Google is in progress. You can continue past the warning, or wait until it is done.
- Connect sends you back with "Meet permission not granted". The permission was unticked on Google's screen. Connect again and tick it.
- The notetaker had to knock. The booking used a calendar-made link. Connect Google Meet so new bookings get open links.
Data and privacy
Newgensales stores the Google account email, the tokens needed to make links on your behalf, and the link of each meeting it made. Disconnecting deletes the tokens. What we do with recordings and transcripts is in the Privacy Policy. Questions: support@newgensales.ai or the support page. More about the product: All docs.
