Newgensales for Zoom
Last updated: October 6, 2026
With Zoom connected, the calls you book in Newgensales are created as Zoom meetings on your own Zoom account, the join link goes on the calendar invite, and the Newgensales notetaker can join your lead calls to record, transcribe and coach.
Adding the app
- Sign in to Newgensales and go to Account > Profile.
- In the Meeting Platform card, click the Zoom tile. If another platform is connected, Newgensales asks whether to switch; confirming disconnects the old one.
- You are sent to Zoom to sign in and approve the app. Zoom shows the permissions listed below. Click Allow.
- You come back to your Profile. The Zoom tile is marked as your platform and a row below it shows Zoom connected with your Zoom email. New lead calls you book now use Zoom.
One connection per person. A teammate who also wants Zoom meetings connects their own Zoom account on their own Profile.
Using the app
- Booking. Open a lead and click Book a meeting, or use New Booking on the Calendar page. When you book, Newgensales creates the Zoom meeting on your account and puts its link on the calendar event and the invite. The booking card shows the same link under Join.
- Joining. Meetings are created so participants can join before the host, so your customer and the notetaker are not kept waiting.
- The notetaker. On lead calls, the Newgensales notetaker joins the Zoom meeting as a participant, records it and transcribes it. After the call the summary, next steps and deal details are written to the lead and, if you connected one, your CRM. 1:1 and team calls get the meeting and the link but no notetaker.
- Cancelling. Cancelling a booking in Newgensales deletes the Zoom meeting it created and removes the calendar event.
- Recording consent. Tell participants the call is recorded where the law requires it. The notetaker appears as a named participant in the meeting.
Permissions the app asks for
- Create, view, update and delete meetings on your account: to create the meeting for a call you book, and to delete it when you cancel. Newgensales never changes meetings it did not create.
- View your profile and email: to show which Zoom account is connected and to match the meeting host to you.
- Start realtime media streams on your own meetings: used for the live audio the coach listens to during a call, on your meetings only.
Removing the app
- In Newgensales, go to Account > Profile, find the Zoom connected row under the Meeting Platform tiles, and click Disconnect. The stored Zoom tokens are deleted at once.
- You can also remove it from Zoom: in the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage > Added Apps, find Newgensales and click Remove.
Meetings already created stay on your Zoom account. Bookings in Newgensales keep their links. New bookings use your calendar's own meeting link, or another platform you pick, until you connect Zoom again.
Troubleshooting
- The Zoom tile says "Available when our Zoom app passes review." The app is being reviewed by Zoom. Until it is published, only accounts on our own workspace can connect. Your calendar's own meeting link works meanwhile.
- Connect Zoom sends you back with an error. Try once more. If it repeats, check that you approved all permissions on the Zoom screen, then email us.
- A booked call has a Meet or Teams link instead of Zoom. The booking card says why, for example "Zoom is not available on your calendar." Reconnect Zoom on your Profile and book again.
Data and privacy
Newgensales stores the Zoom account email, the tokens needed to create meetings on your behalf, and the id and link of each meeting it created. Disconnecting deletes the tokens. What we do with recordings and transcripts is in the Privacy Policy. Questions: support@newgensales.ai or the support page. More about the product: All docs.
